Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 6 September 2026
Fyndarium is made by Ganymede Media Inc. (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the Fyndarium software and this website. They are written to be read, not skimmed past — the short version: you buy a license once, the software is yours to use, and we don’t do anything surprising.
1. The software and your license
Fyndarium is a Windows application that indexes and searches your own media files locally. When you purchase a license you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Fyndarium for your own use or your organization’s internal use.
- One license includes 5 activations — enough for reinstalls and your own machines. Reinstalling on the same machine does not consume an activation.
- Your license never expires. Software you have installed keeps working.
2. Updates
Every purchase includes 1 year of updates. Any version released during your update window is yours to keep and use permanently. After the first year, updates are optional — through the Fyndarium Care subscription (see below) or a later upgrade purchase. Choosing not to continue never disables the software you already have.
3. Fyndarium Care (optional subscription)
Fyndarium Care extends your update window and support beyond the included first year, billed annually. Because the first year of updates is already included with your license, Care billing starts in year two. You can cancel at any time; cancelling stops future charges and you keep every version you received while covered.
4. Payments, prices and taxes
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle sells you the license on our behalf, handles payment, applicable VAT/sales tax and invoicing, answers billing questions, and processes refunds. Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms apply to the payment itself. Prices may be shown in your local currency and may include local taxes. The price presented at checkout is the price you pay.
5. Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, described in our Refund Policy. Ask us by email, or ask Paddle directly at paddle.net.
6. What you may not do
- Share, resell or publish your license key, or activate the software for people outside your household or organization.
- Decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, except where law expressly permits it.
- Use Fyndarium to break the law — the software indexes your files; what those files are is your responsibility.
7. Beta versions
Pre-release builds are governed by the separate Fyndarium Beta Test Agreement shown when you request a beta build. Where the two conflict for a beta build, the beta agreement wins.
8. Ownership
Fyndarium, its code, models configuration, design and branding remain the property of Ganymede Media Inc. Your files, your index and everything Fyndarium produces from your files on your machine are yours.
9. Warranty and liability
Fyndarium is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim related to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it. Fyndarium is designed never to modify your original files. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects statutory consumer rights that apply where you live.
10. Changes
If we change these terms, we will update this page and its date. Changes apply to purchases made after the change.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ganymede Media Inc. is registered, without affecting mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
